Le Bon Marché, today a part of the LVMH group and a synonym of high-end shopping, was founded in the mid 19th century. Conceived by Aristide Boucicault as a new kind of “store that would thrill all the senses”, Le Bon Marché transformed retail and elevated shopping into a veritable art de vivre.
