Francophone Worlds
Monthly Workshop Series
“Francophone Worlds” is a series of monthly workshops addressing cultural issues related to the diversity of francophone cultures. Each one hour-workshop consists of a group discussion focusing on specific materials communicated in advance to registered participants. This series engages with the histories of the French language and reflects on the hopes and challenges they raise today. The workshop is open to all levels of French and is conducted in English.
For its fourth session, “Francophone Worlds” will have the privilege of welcoming Laurence Denié-Higney, Senior Lecturer of French and Francophone Studies at UC Los Angeles. She will be discussing with us the work of Mohammed Dib (1920-2003), Algerian novelist and poet.
