Monthly Workshop Series

“Francophone Worlds” is a series of monthly workshops addressing cultural issues related to the diversity of francophone cultures. Each one hour-workshop consists of a group discussion focusing on specific materials communicated in advance to registered participants. This series engages with the histories of the French language and reflects on the hopes and challenges they raise today. The workshop is open to all levels of French and is conducted in English.

For its eighth session, “Francophone Worlds” will have the privilege of welcoming Professor Maya Smith from the University of Washington. She will be presenting her research on “Linguistic Legitimacy in the Francophone World”.
