Monthly Workshop Series

“Francophone Worlds” is a series of monthly workshops addressing cultural issues related to the diversity of francophone cultures. Each one hour-workshop consists of a presentation by a scholar on a special topic, then followed by a Q&A.  This series engages with the histories of the French language and reflects on the hopes and challenges they raise today. The workshop is open to all levels of French and is conducted in English.

For its sixth session, “Francophone Worlds” will have the privilege of welcoming Mina Soroosh, Visiting Assistant Professor of French at Pepperdine University. She will be presenting her research on the history of French and francophone communities in the Los Angeles area.
