Four Scholars will present work on Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco at a one-day symposium featuring Lia Brozgal, Associate Professor of French and Francophone Studies, UCLA, on the October 17, 1961, massacre of Algerians in Paris; and Katarzyna Pierprzak, Professor of French, Williams College, on Moroccan “bidonvilles” (slums), with Virginie Rey (Affiliate Faculty of Anthropology, UCI) and Laura Klein (lecturer of French, UCI).
